When did you first decide you wanted to start making music?

I was 13, heading into my first year of high school. I was surrounded by music in my childhood, but hadn't really experimented or practiced. My mother listened to disco, my stepdad listened to alternative and surfer rock, and my sister listened to all types of music. For me, I mainly listened to rock and hip-hop, but not too seriously. At the time, I was more focused on school, mainstream music, and shenanigans. However, in 8th grade I joined the school band and began playing trombone. And, for some reason, it finally clicked that I wanted to make music. Additionally, I had begun listening to some more conscious hip-hop artists, and I knew that I could talk about things I wanted to talk about.

You collaborated on the track "Heard So Much About It" what went through your mind thematically for that track?

I was trying to convey the internal conflict and facades that people put up to protect themselves. Additionally, I was trying to emphasize the exhaustion and sheer amount of cognitive dissonance that occurs when someone is willing to do anything to get ahead and make exorbitant amounts of money. You become lost in the sauce. Others become a means to an end. Your "soul" or "humanity" is on the line.

How have you found collaborating with Laughing Dark?

It was exciting! I loved that I was tasked with realizing Laughing Dark's vision. Instead of just creating and writing, I had to work with someone to understand their thematic inspiration and objective. The back and forth was cool, and it was challenging in the best way possible. It's actually inspired me to pursue more collaborations! Cause, like, here are two people from two completely different worlds, collaborating on a project across the Atlantic? Like wow, the internet let us do that? Let's goo!!!
